KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16, 2015:
The red shirt rally or ‘Himpunan Baju Merah’ is taking place today at Padang Merbok, here, with participants gathering at several checkpoints around the city centre this morning.
At a press conference yesterday, the leader of a coalition of Malay non-governmental organisations (NGOs), Datuk Jamal Md Yunos expressed hope that one million Malaysians will support the rally today by wearing red.
He had also dismissed rumours that the rally participants were out to stir provocation and create trouble.
